Going down the kerb

WalkWays is an initiative formed through a partnership among Health by Design, the City of Indianapolis, the Marion County Public Health Department, the American Planning Association Indiana Chapter and the Indiana Public Health Association.

Initial funding is through Plan4Health, a project connecting communities across the country, funding work at the intersection of planning and public health. Anchored by members of the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Public Health Association (APHA), Plan4Health supports creative partnerships to build sustainable, cross-sector coalitions.

WalkWays is led by the staff of Health by Design, a coalition of hundreds of diverse partners working to ensure that Indianapolis and communities throughout Indiana have neighborhoods, public spaces and transportation infrastructure that promote physical activity and healthy living.
