Indianapolis Walkability Workshops February 23 – March 9
WHO: Interested and concerned residents in your community—and YOU!
WHY: We need your input to improve safety, access, and connections for everyone in Indy who walks and rolls! Join with your neighbors to learn more, provide feedback, and shape community change.
WHAT: This two-part workshop series will cover walking-related information and resources, allow us to hear from YOU about needed improvements, and lead to action plans for improving walkability.

February 2016 Pedestrian Plan Open Houses
As part of the ongoing development of Indianapolis’ first pedestrian plan, a series of five public open houses were held in late February 2016. The events provided residents the chance to hear an update on the planning process, offer input on improving walking in the city and participate in activities designed to help guide the thinking about how best to spend limited resources.
October 2015 Community Cinema and Pedestrian Plan Open House
On October 21, 2015, WalkWays held a Community Cinema and Pedestrian Plan Open House at the Central Library. It was attended by more than 50 people interested in making Indianapolis more walkable and getting more people walking.
The event included a presentation, movie screenings and discussion. Participants completed the survey and provided input on informational display boards.
